Offshore
Offshore Fishing Charters
A offshore fishing charter is the most popular fishing excursion we offer in Federally managed waters 10-30 miles from the shoreline where the land nor buildings or the high rise condos is no longer visible with the naked eye. When you reserve a offshore fishing charter will put you in the largest Artificial Reef Fishing system in the whole world for reeling in a large variety of Snappers, Jacks, Groupers, and Triggerfish just to name a few. Offshore fishing boats are much larger that typically have two inboard diesel engines to power you out to the most publicly treasured fishing spots and the captain’s best kept secret fishing honey holes. Offshore fishing charters typically last for 6 hours, however, we can accommodate a 8 to 12 hour offshore fishing trip. With air conditioned cabins and onboard restrooms are just a few of the added amenities compared to our inshore and nearshore fishing vessels. With that being said, not every offshore fishing boat is created equal in amenities and capacity so the prices varies among the different offshore boats we have available to choose from.
When choosing a offshore fishing charter the first thing to consider is your desire for a “Private or Shared” fishing charter. Private charters are also referred to as 6 packs (ie 6 passenger boats), While larger capacity vessels are typically called Party boats. Private vs Shared fishing charters most obvious difference is 1) in the price and 2) level of service you will receive. If you can imagine having 10-50 people all fishing at the same time getting lines tangled with each other can be chaotic and unproductive. Not to say a multi-passenger party boat is not a awesome fishing trip, however, to keep fishing lines from being tangled typically means passengers will have to rotate taking turns fishing. With that being said a 6 hour offshore trip could potentially limit your actual fishing time to only 2 of those hours depending on the number of tickets sold, where a private charter will double your actual time fishing. When booking a private charter you are reserving the whole boat for exclusively your party so there is no per person price unlike what a party boat offers. Deep Sea
Deep Sea Fishing Charters
Deep Sea Fishing Charters is made exactly for the serious saltwater sport angler who would rather go way out in the deep blue also known as open waters where the depths are many fathoms deep. Deep Sea Fishing Charters target the huge Tuna family & Monster Billfish like Marlin, Swordfish, Sailfish, Mahi-Mahi (aka Dolphinfish) and a lot more!
This fishing charter adventure will take you 50-100 miles from the shoreline where the visibility of land is nowhere to be found. A few words of advice… BUYER BEWARE of those advertisements to go “Deep Sea Fishing” for around or under a $100 per person! The tell tale to look out for is the “trip duration” they are offering for such a low price and time of departure. You see, here along the Gulf Coast the waters do not get deep enough to be qualified as “DEEP SEA” for a minimum of 50 miles from shore. At 25 miles per hour would take you at least three hour boat ride. On a 6-8 hour advertised deep sea trip is not taking you to the Deep Sea waters but misleading you to think they are, when in reality you are actually in offshore waters. It is hard to tell for sure when out on the water because both trips cannot see land. The second way to tell if you are being misled is looking at the color of the water where you are fishing. The color should be a dark royal blue if you in fact are deep sea fishing.
Last, when choosing a Deep Sea fishing charter to consider is your desire for a “Private or Shared” fishing charter. Our deep sea fishing trips start at a minimum of 12 hours lasting up to 36 hours in duration to really put you on the big game fish! These trips typically depart the dock at midnight and arrive in the desired deep sea fishing location when the sun comes up. The captain fishes off of oil rigs and underwater cliffs where the big game fish tend to congregate looking for their next meal.
